ECAM LaSalle has been a long-standing center of engineering resources for industry. True to its history, the School has developed its applied research activities to reach two goals: responding to industrial issues and supporting socio-economic development. These activities were solidified by the creation of the LabECAM research center. This laboratory works to create a center of engineering resources for companies, for either applied research studies or technology transfer. These studies can be experimental or theoretical, but also can include system design. LabECAM research is focused on two main fields:
- System, machine, and other processes energy efficiency, with a main focus on gear units.
- Microstructural material modification and mechanical behavior
